We at Savour BlackBookAsia Magazine presents to you our favourite two watches; the Odyssey Freediver in Citrus Orange and Venture Wayfarer in Tangerine.
Odyssey Freediver-Citrus Orange
Every piece in the Odyssey Freediver collection is built with features that define what BOLDR Supply Company stands for; a beautiful blend of contemporary and traditional design elements, incorporating strong premium quality materials, hand-picked for their durability and resilience. Inspired by and constructed for freedivers who are adventurers of all things underwater, strap one on and channel that inner freediving spirit as you dive into everyday challenges with these timepieces that has great water resistance of 300m / 30ATM.
At the heart of this model is the Cal. 9015 Japan-made automatic movement. Placed a screw-down crown with custom embossed BOLDR logo plus sun-burst, grain dial, linear-brushed hands with Swiss Superluminova (which is also used for the dive-friendly 120-click unidirectional quality stainless steel bezel to withstand harsh environments). Put in sapphire crystal with inner side AR-coating lens and you have a standout watch.
Fitted with a lightweight yet durable quick-release EPDM rubber strap in a fun citrus orange colour, while its striking 40mm 316L stainless steel case is detailed with a polished strip to accentuate its angular lugs. The caseback is a single-piece screw-down case back with embossed limited edition artwork depicting the fabled Kraken. So take a leap into the new year with this limited edition watch, each with it’s own individual serial numbers.
Venture Wayfarer-Tangerine
It is all about the quality not quantity when it comes to the Venture Wayfarer series. You can see the passion in engineering from the Japan Miyota 8217 automatic movement with hacking seconds (which is when the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled out that allows the watch to be more easily synchronised with a second timepiece or set to a reference signal). The Wayfarer is BOLDR Supply Company’s tribute to the classic 24-hour sub-dial watches housed in a sturdy 38mm titanium Venture case.
Creating watches that last for life, this timepiece has a good water resistance of 200m / 20ATM as well as a lovely printed matte dial and custom hands with non-toxic Japan Superlume. Wait, there are even more details to accompany these horological technologies as seen in the flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating lens together with nylon NATO straps with custom titanium buckles.
The case thickness is a nice 12mm with lug size of 20mm and 44mm lug to lug. Once again we are pleased with the screw-down case back with embossed limited edition designer artwork that is simply art forward. You would want to take this off and show your family and friends the front and back for this one. This watch comes in a unique and hardy roll over packaging with a leather binding strap which makes it an ideal gift as well as for own use.
