The two principal parts played by the talented and beautiful young soprano, Christine and the Phantom who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House, both doing a sterling job with their roles – Christines’ soaring soprano is absolutely on point when she hits the high notes, and the sheer power of the disfigured musical genius’s voice leaves the audience in no doubt that he is a strong and determined character fiercely in love.  When both voices combine, the result is a pleasure to listen to.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End on October 9, 1986, starred Michael Crawford as the Phantom and Sarah Brightman as Christine.
