A fragrant sensory evening featuring the best of Penhaligon’s over something sparkling and exploration. Held in ION Orchard, one of the most renown and iconic malls in Singapore, invitees were treated to an interactive experience like no other. BlackBookAsia’s guest list for the night includes a stellar line up of CEOs, hoteliers, private bankers, auditors, singers, television actors and actresses among many others. All of whom enjoyed a fun filled yet educational time of fragrance discovery and of course a whole lot of shopping.
Elisabethan Rose
A fragrance with (of course) a most commanding presence. Regal. Demanding. Imposing. And yet so perfectly at ease. Delicate indeed. Hazelnut leaf summons the outdoors with bite, freshness and crunch, (just like the gravel underfoot as one peruses the rose garden and takes in its scented air after rain). Woven with all the precision of a tapestry, around it cinnamon and almond oil swirl like raw edible silk. But do not be fooled. This is anything but a gourmand. Being sweet is what we ask of our children. As women we frequently have hazardous territories to maneouvre.
But later, a softer side might be revealed when Red Lily unfolds and Rose Absolute smells like Heaven. Luminous and round. A fragrance of character. Vetyver and wood gallop through the night, cloaked in musk, and show that strength and softness are most excellent bed fellows. Indeed, this is a most enveloping and appropriate fragrance to wear to bed.
Cairo

Introducing Cairo, a new perfume from Penhaligon’s that offers a vibrant invitation to journey through the infinite richness and sensuality of the fabled Egyptian city. To conceive this new olfactive journey to the heart of this mystical city, the perfumer chose iconic ingredients from the ancient spice trade route: saffron and woods.
At first, like the sun rising slowly over the ancient city, the fragrance awakens with an intriguing hint of spice, as Saffron and burning Incense reveal their provocative powers. In Damascena Rose, a thousand and one seductive facets create a full and fascinating heart; drenched with beauty and rich with promise. The balsamic scent of Labdanum, aromatic Cypriol and sweet Vanilla Pod conjure the shimmering mirage of this timeless city. And finally, a triptych of iconic woods: Sandalwood Sri Lanka, Atlas Cedarwood and Patchouli reveal a softer, yet more carnal and sensual destination.
