Year 2022 has been a remarkable year for BlackBookAsia Group as well as Cloudy Bay with the latter’s 2022 Sauvignon Blanc greeting the world in a distinctive new packaging, marking a new chapter in Cloudy Bay’s story. Savour BlackBookAsia Magazine, a subsidiary of the group has also anointed Cloudy Bay of New Zealand as Wine Of The Year, after a close voting process by our UHNW/HNW VIPs, Corporate Clients and Affluent Readers. To top it off, our team has also unanimously concluded that W Communications has won PR Event Of 2022 with a spectacular showcase of Cloudy Bay wines in the most magical of settings.

KOLs and brand partners were cordially invited to an exclusive dining experience as the newest addition to the Cloudy Bay label of wines was revealed, and the first vintage to be contained in the bespoke redesigned bottle. VIPs enjoyed a night of great tasting wine, exquisite food, and an all-rounded jolly good time to celebrate the launch of the new Cloudy  Bay 2022 Sauvignon Blanc. Jim White, Technical Director at Cloudy Bay Vineyards, was also in attendance to share more about the new wine.

In a world of constant change, there’s a comfort in knowing that every sip of Cloudy Bay will be as exceptional as your first. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has a zesty and vibrant nose, with notes of juicy citrus and makrut lime underpinned by subtle white nectarine and passionfruit notes. The palate is mouthwatering, with ribe vibrant passionfruit and citrus at the fore. These meld with tropical hints of peach and guava, gently balanced by stony saline notes.

Cloudy Bay was established in 1985. After a single sip of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, founder David Hohnen realised New Zealand’s potential as a wine region. Cloudy Bay became one of the first five wineries established in Marlborough and is now New Zealand’s most recognised winery on the world stage. From the first vintage, Cloudy Bay wines have found international acclaim for their remarkable quality and consistency.
