Enter Braseiro Restaurant, relaxing in ambiance but serious about the food served. A classic French “steak-frites” establishment that promises good steaks and more, all at affordable prices.
Being a corner unit, Braseiro Restaurant allows artistry to flow as seen in the street art on the restaurant’s side exterior. The painting depicts a Peranakan lady also known as Nonya in her traditional outfit along with two males who have an Asian mix Caucasian look. Fitting as this area was originally the settlement for the Peranakans (Straits Born Chinese) and westerners thus the wonderful fusion of cultures that translate into the cuisine.
Try the refreshing homemade drinks which will excite your palates. Strawberry Lemonade is an excellent choice, for a play on that same beverage is Mint & Strawberry Lemonade, where the inclusion of fresh mint gives a herbaceous variation to the taste. For something unique, order Pink Lemon & Ginger which is made using ginger ale, lemon and Gernadine. Give this concoction a good stir before consuming.
For starters, Fondue de Camembert is an amazing dish to share. Melted cheese fondue served with sliced French baguette. Simply dip your bread into the warm Camembert and enjoy the delectable appetizer in all its molten glory. Now comes the mains where the obvious choice is Ribeye Steak, we recommend having it done medium rare for this particular beef from Australia. Your meal is accompanied by Unlimited Homemade French Fries (Russet potatoes are pre-cooked for 6 minutes and heated up for 1 minute before serving) plus Fresh Lettuce.
The Roasted Chicken here is excellent, cooked to a golden brown hue with nice char on the outside yet moist and tender on the inside. Literally finger licking good.
