Located along the bustling streets of Seminyak, Ginger Moon transports diners into a casual and relaxing oasis the moment you walk through the doors, leaving behind all the surrounding noise of the outside world. The modern Asian eatery is spread over two levels and fitted with old-style wooden furniture and fixtures such as the beautifully painted door frames, rustic windows and lovely rattan chandeliers that illuminates the room. At Ginger Moon, the menu consists of Balinese cuisine with a modern spin to it. Chef Dean Keddell’s philosophy of presenting the very best Indonesian food, so that people will come back to Bali for more, is a statement that certainly rings true and is showcased prominently in their food.

As with any Indonesian meal, it is a communal affair therefore the menu has been designed with sharing in mind for no matter occasion. For a refreshing start to the meal, the Soft Shell Crab Salad is perfect, mixed with watermelon, beng kwang, cucumber, pomelo, lime and chilli for a slight tinge of spiciness. A definite favourite and available only for lunch, is the appetizing Steamed Bun Quartet, with options such as Crumbed Barramundi with slaw and curry aioli, Ayam Pedeh, Babi Guling with lawar and sambal tomat, and, Beef with coconut, spices, kemangi and fried shallots. Truly leaving you wanting for more after every bite. An ideal dish to share is the Babi Guling Pizza, topped with pork sausage, lawar and coconut. The flatbread base is fluffy and crispy with the combination of fatty sausage and babi guling, giving it a natural meaty saltiness along with fried long beans for an additional crunch.

For drinks, the restaurant offers a list of creative and innovative locally inspired cocktails as well as mocktails such as their signature Bali Mojito, served interestingly with sliced chillis in the drink along with many Asian spices mixed in as well. A variety of beers and an interesting and intimate list of wines to choose from to accompany your hearty meal.
