Volkswagen Group Singapore presents its award-winning Volkswagen, Škoda, and CUPRA EV innovations at the Volkswagen Electric City. Held at the Volkswagen Centre Singapore, the showcase features the latest models such as Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5, along with the Škoda Enyaq range and CUPRA Born.
The Volkswagen Electric City presents an extensive lineup of the Group’s top-selling EVs, showcasing the widest selection available in Southeast Asia. These innovations are aligned with the Volkswagen Group’s strategic vision of ‘NEW AUTO – Mobility for Generations to Come’ and underscores Volkswagen Group Singapore’s alignment with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and its comprehensive EV roadmap aimed at accelerating EV adoption.
Among these models are the Volkswagen ID.3, ID.4, ID.4 GTX, ID.5, ID.5 GTX, ID.7, and ID. Buzz, as well as the Škoda Enyaq, Enyaq Coupé, Enyaq RS, and the CUPRA Born, with many making a debut in the region. Volkswagen Group Singapore also officially announces the start of sales for the highly anticipated ID.4 and ID.5 EV series and Škoda Enyaq range.
Volkswagen ID.4: 100% SUV, 100% electric
Introducing the ID.4, Volkswagen’s pioneering fully electric SUV, committed to zero local emissions. With its 77-kWh battery, the ID.4 offers an impressive range of up to 550 km (WLTP), Establishing itself as a frontrunner in its class. Positioned strategically beneath the passenger compartment, the battery ensures a low centre of gravity, complemented by a rear axle electric drive motor generating 210 kW (286PS). With a maximum 135 kW charging capacity, the ID.4 Pro achieves a rapid 10% – 80% recharge in just 33 minutes.
Volkswagen ID.5: The electric SUV coupé
The ID.5 series combines expressive design with a lounge-style spaciousness, boasting a sleek and modern aesthetic that marries aerodynamic lines with distinctive styling cues across its variants. Short overhangs further enhance its emotional coupé design.
Škoda’s first purpose-built EV with impressive range and performance
The Enyaq is the first Škoda production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform, built at Czech automobile manufacturer’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. With its striking styling, spacious interior, high-quality materials and exceptional comfort, it is perfect for city travel and long hauls alike.
Special preview of the CUPRA Born: the impulse of a new era
The CUPRA Born, CUPRA’s debut all-electric vehicle, defies convention with its emotional design and instantaneous performance, embodying the brand’s daring ethos. It stylishly integrates advanced powertrain and battery management technologies, ensuring dynamic driving experiences. Boasting a 77-kWh battery and delivering 240 kW of all-electric power, it promises an estimated range of 560 km and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Crafted and perfected at the brand’s headquarters in Barcelona, the CUPRA Born is poised to make its mark in Singapore in early 2025.
