The menu showcase the best of what the season has to offer and locally sourced produce, a dining concept by tying Japan’s past with the present allowing diners a sensory escape into the cool urban vibes of Japan. Start with Organic Kale Salad with pop corn. Delectable crunch from the ingredients such as sesame seeds, cashew nuts and deep fried onion adding wonderful textures to this dish.

Mushroom Carpaccio

True to the restaurant’s name ‘The Burn’, a selection of meats, vegetables and seafood grilled over charcoal or fire and much more are available. Mushroom Carpaccio is a light and delicious appetizer made from thinly sliced mushrooms from Hasegawa farm in Shizuoka (a known farm for mushrooms). Parmigiano cream, crispy quinoa along with a sprinkle of salt and shaved parmigiano to finish. Hokkaido Scallop is well paired with yuzu, pickled persimmon and home made granola made from buckwheat. Lovely sweet sour acidity in every mouthful.

Charcoal Grill Japanese Beef

One of The Burn’s specialty is their meat courses and Charcoal Grill Japanese Beef is a tantalising example. Beef from Niigata, Agano city, (AGANOHIMEUSHI) is carefully aged for 120 days, before being cooked to a prefect medium rare doneness. Bursting with loads of flavours even without the added salt which is from Kagawa prefecture, made from 500kg of ocean water dehydrated to 1kg worth of salt (cooked with wood fire), a intense taste of the sea that lingers.

Homemade Peanut Butter Creme Brulee

Banana ice cream with Homemade Peanut Butter Creme Brulee compete with sugar icing is the ideal sweet ending. Very smooth and not too sweet with a delicious burnt char over the top. A curated beverage list with an extensive selection of beers and cocktails complements the style of cuisine. Must try is the Original Whisky Soda No.3 concocted using Nikka whisky yielding fresh herb aromas, delicate to one’s taste buds.
