Pernod Ricard’s…A Gin Odyssey

The inaugural pop-up showcase of Pernod Ricard’s gin portfolio at A Gin Odyssey garnered much interest and buzz from media and key opinion leaders, as they shared intimate experiences and connected over the rich cultures of the speciality gin brands – Beefeater London Dry Gin, Malfy Gin from Italy, KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin and Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin.

Pernod Ricard’s unique portfolio of premium-and-above gins consists of unique and trendy brands, complementing the existing portfolio to address all moments of consumption and convivialité. The showcase sought to transport the attendees to the origins of the worldly gins through a multi-sensorial travel experience.

The curated tour focused on awakening the senses as visitors took a peek into the heritage and journey of each gin. Throughout the odyssey, they were met with comforting whiffs of botanicals, refreshing tipples and a whimsical ambience in the four experiential rooms. The guests also enjoyed gamification and interactive experiences in each room.

  • In the London Room, guests discovered how The Spirit of London got its start and subsequently evolved into the world’s most awarded gin. Guests were treated to a feast for the eyes with an installation of the red-and-blue tube stations of London, along with a taste of the crisp Beefeater London Dry Gin in a specially assembled London cocktail.
  • Guests were then led to an Italian Dolce Vita in the Amalfi Coast Room, home to the Malfy gin. They learnt interesting fun facts and found out what it means to live  ‘A Malfy Life’ in the stylish enclave. The summer holiday ended with a zesty and refreshing Amalfi Coast cocktail with Malfy Gin Con Limone, perfectly apt for some vibrant fun in the sun.
  • Guests stepped into the traditional tea hut to enter a world of zen in the Kyoto Room, learning about the history of KI NO BI and The Kyoto Distillery. Guests then got a chance to whisk matcha powder into their Kyoto cocktails made with KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin –  preparing them in true Japanese service.
  • Lastly, the Black Forest Room welcomed the guests, filled with foliage and greenery all around. The Zum Wilden Affen Inn then opened up to present guests with a sweet Black Forest cocktail made with Monkey 47 Dry Gin, inspired by black forest cake. Guests then uncovered the story of the wunderbar and had a go at the Wheel O Wonder!
