Otoro Tatare With Caviar

For appetisers, Nobu Tokyo’s signature dish, Otoro Tatare With Caviar. Otoro the fattiest part of the tuna (Maguro) is finely grounded to a lovely texture in soya dashi sauce marvelously paired with premium caviar for that salty touch which also cuts through the high fat content of the Otoro balancing this dish well. This dish is beautifully plated on ice with a Sakura (cherry blossom) flower branch and sweeten Japanese Momo (peach) a delectable palate cleanser after relishing this dish, perfect with a glass of champagne.

Sushi Sampler

Highly recommended pre-mains will be Sushi Sampler, a selection of the freshest seafood expertly sliced and lovingly place on masterly hand mounded high quality rice. The choice of seafood changes according to the season such as Snapper with lemon, salt and a tantalising touch of shiso, Mackerel with fine slice kelp and sprinkle of white sesame seeds, classic Tuna and Uni (sea urchin) wrapped in seaweed sushi. Served with tangy pickled ginger.

Grilled Wagyu Beef With Spicy Sauce

Popular main dish is Grilled Wagyu Beef With Spicy Sauce, the Iwate beef is thinly sliced then individually grilled to a first-class finish drench in a spicy sauce with roots from Peru made from red bell pepper, cayanne pepper and chilli. A side of mix greens, beetroot, radish, lettuce and zucchini accompany the meat. The beef itself is very flavourful and further enhanced by the sauce with an additional level of depth.

Cold Soba

Cold Soba rounds of the meal with noodles that are handmade and cooked well to a perfect softness. Topped with finely sliced green onions and dollop of wasabi for that spicy kick. The sauce is a umami mix of kombu, katsuobushi dashi, soy sauce and mirin. A simple yet delightful and healthy course.

Creme Brulee

A welcome innovative addition to the sweet tooth fans in us is Creme Brulee done three ways, nutty goma (black sesame), savoury and sweet miso and macha all with a layer of caramelised sugar on the top. The crispy burnt sugar is magnificent with fresh, naturally sweet Japanese strawberries and oranges, truly a French classic with a Japanese twist.

For chocolate addicts, Chocolate Fondant With Sesame Ice Cream is a must try, imagine warm fondant with a lava center oozing molten brown chocolate mixed with cold ice cream made with white and black sesame filled with sesame cookie crumble. Add some raspberry sauce and diners will be in seventh heaven.
