Homegrown Brand Love Handle Expands Its Uniquely Cosmopolitan Offerings In New Menu

Their sloppy Reubens was your go-to lunch option in the CBD, and you still dream about those nasi lemak burgers from their last collaboration. Now, get ready for more wide-ranging plant-based deliciousness from Love Handle’s new menu. In this new menu, Local boy chef-owner Addis Tan fully demonstrates his Singaporean-ness in a uniquely cosmopolitan spread. Casual and comforting Western grub, perfect for everything from brunch to supper, sit comfortably alongside tributes to local classics and regional favourites.

So you get an Egg Mayo Focaccia ($12) alongside Menchi Katsu ($22) and Pastrami Banh Mi ($20) in the sandwich and burger section. The first item is a simple yet satisfying assembly of Love Handle’s housemade eggless egg mayo and dill on toasted focaccia, given an unexpected lift of sweetness from the addition of compressed grapes. The katsu is crafted from Impossible Beef and Pork and served with Love Handle eggless mayonnaise, shredded cabbage and a dash of Bulldog sauce between a fluffy burger bun; and the banh mi a crusty roll stuffed with Love Handle Pastrami, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, yuzu slaw and pickles.

Mains now include an umami-packed Beef Ragu ($22): a hearty bowl of Green rebel meatless steak slices, mushroom jus and pappardelle topped with a shaving of cashew cheese. And Love Handle’s signature waffles makes a sweet (and savoury) comeback in a dish of Chicken and Waffles ($23)! If you crave more of those juicy deep-fried goodness, there is also the Love Handle Fried Chicken ($16) — two succulent fillets of buttermilk-fried plant-based chicken, served with Go Chu Jang Mayo and kimchi. And because Love Handle clearly love chicken, they are also paying tribute to a local cuisine with their very own Love Handle Chicken Rice ($12). Lovingly cooked to recreate the piquant chili sauce and aromatic chicken rice to perfection, it might just be the best plant-based chicken rice there is, if we dare say!
