Savelberg Wine Celler

Are you looking for the best restaurant in Bangkok or to visit a new place or dine somewhere you haven’t visited before? Looking for a restaurant is not an easy task since everyone has their own favorites and inclinations. What may be a good establishment for the others, may not be a good one to you. But believe this, no matter your preferences, coming to Restaurant Savelberg would be a good experience for you. The in house wine cellar boast a staggering range of world class wines by the bottle or glass easily paired with any dishes that comes out of the kitchen.

Savelberg – Interior

The floor to ceiling windows adds ample natural light in during the day and an air of romanticism during the evenings.  A sense of space envelops guests due to the super high ceilings and gorgeous chandelier. Contemporary furniture, fresh flower bouquets and top notch service further adds to the overall draw of Restaurant Savelberg. Coming here is a real balm to one’s gourmet soul.

Amuse Bouche

The Amuse Bouche of sangria marinated watermelon cube served on a polished spoon is refreshing and opens your palate for the dishes to come. The second amuse bouche made of banana mousse and feta cheese is chilled to almost frozen, a delight on the tongue. The wafer base adds a wonderful crunch served on a bed of fragrant cinnamon sticks and star anise.

Lobster

Lobster is slow cooked, blanched, placed on ice and coarsely chopped, mix with horseradish and pomelo before being wrapped in a pickled radish skin to make a roll. Topped with lobster caviar to finish. Best eaten with the yuzu gel drops for that lovely touch of citrus and acidity. Plating is as superb as the flavours in this extravagant appetizer.

Sole

The main course is Sole from the North Sea ( Part of the Atlantic ocean located between Northern Europe and United Kingdom countries like England, Scotland, Denmark and Sweden), grilled to perfection served with celery, potato mousse and French cheese mix. Dollops of balsamic adds another layer of taste to the fish. The nearest thing to a gastronomic trip to France, smartly blending French culinary traditions with the freshest seasonal ingredients and produce available.

Ginger

The desserts are to die for! It’s important to combine all elements of Ginger before eating. The red heart is made of ginger and honey, yellow hearts passionfruit and the ice cream is spicy and exotic (made from similar base ingredients to Thai green curry), lime gel and ginger cookie. Reservations are highly recommended at Restaurant Savelberg. The kitchen team is accommodating in meeting your food requirements to the best of their abilities in case you are following a strict diet or if you have any food allergies.
