- Black River Gorges National Park
This beautiful National Park is home to most of Mauritius’ rainforest, a number of wild animal species and all of the island’s endemic birds. It covers almost seventy square kilometres and includes around sixty kilometres of walking trails; one of which leads to the summit of Black River Peak. At 828 metres, this is the island’s highest point and it commands spectacular views. There are also numerous zip line experiences, as well as quad biking within the park.
