Breakfast is liken to a feast for the upper echelon with assortment of Asian dishes such as Chicken Congee with generous amounts of the shredded poultry topped with dough fritters and scallion as well as Prawn Noodle Soup with pork ribs and fresh prawns in a flavourful broth made over many hours and your choice of noodles to the more Western Waffle and Pancakes, both served with assorted berries and maple syrup.
Highly recommended is the High Tea to delight your afternoon palate. Five delectable courses that comes with tea pairing by TWG. A good time to spend with love ones or even for that business engagement. A perennial favourite has to be the Classic and Cranberry Scones accompanied with clotted cream, housemade forest berry marmalade and the tantalising caramelised passion fruit chocolate jam.
What strikes us most, apart from the timeless and judicious elegance of this establishment, is the impeccable, warm and thoughtful service of the crew. This can be seen at La Scala, true luxury in every detail on a plate. Nothing beats when a member of the staff calls you by your name or remembers your dining preference, making you feel like royalty. Must try is Polipo Grigliato, well marinated octopus grilled to perfection served with kalamata olives, artichokes, caper berries, basil, fresh and sundried tomatoes.
The Bar at 15 Stamford will satisfy all your thirst for cocktails, serving both classic and more inventive, contemporary recipes. Its decor is colonial and stunning, with woven stools and chairs, French ceilings and a dazzling tessellation on the bar itself, that is without mentioning the glorious wooden shelves decked behind it, showcasing a glimmering collection of rums and other liquors from all over the world. Try the Peranakan Old Fashion, a twist on the traditional recipe that will keep you coming back for more.
Spa
The Spa and pool are currently undergoing refurbishment and will be well worth the wait. Once reopened you will be ushered on a blissful journey to inner well-being with traditional treatments laced up with modern therapy. High quality spa products are specially chosen to bring the most holistic session to each and every guest. The oasis experience continues as the pool is a true invitation to being one with nature.
