Visionary Group BlackBookAsia foresee much potential in Sphere, a fitness and recovery studio at Cecil Street, targeted at top executives and entrepreneurs. Sphere features modern and recovery-focused solutions that have been created to catalyse performance, prime the mind and help members to break barriers with the use of infrared sauna, cold plunge and sensory deprivation float tanks.
Sphere was founded by Singaporeans, Allan Ng and Bowen You. Allan was a former Muay Thai athlete who represented Singapore in 2015 and 2016. He is currently the national coach for Singapore’s Muay Thai team. Bowen has a background in product marketing and partnerships for international brands such as Cartier and Disney. He graduated with a degree in Product Development and Business Management from New York City. With recovery being an integral part of the lifestyle in international cities such as New York, Bowen returned to Singapore with the intention to introduce the recovery services that nurtured and developed him both physically and mentally, to the South-East Asian region.
Interestingly, the design theme is Cashmere on Concrete – centred around contrast, finished and unfinished, smooth and textured, soft and brutal. The all-white space is inspired by the galleries in Chelsea, New York. Art pieces adorn the walls leading up from the fitness area to the recovery rooms and service suites on the second level. This is very familiar to BlackBookAsia Group and it’s database being patrons of the arts, attending fairs around the world such as Art Basel Miami and Frieze New York among other gallery openings for more then a decade.
Ken Yuktasevi and his team from creative agency, Parable Studio is responsible for the design of Sphere, which on top of the one of kind fitness and recovery concept fused with art and fashion would be of deep interest to Savour BlackBookAsia Magazine’s esteemed UHNW/HNW VIPs, Corporate Clients and Affluent Readers who are always invited to high couture events from Tokyo to Milan, Paris and New York Fashion Weeks. Parable owns a part of Sphere, per their new business expansion model.
