Opening its doors in May 2017, The Amari Johor Bahru represents the first foray of the distinguished brand into Malaysia. Fully equipped with a gym filled with state of the art equipment and a large swimming pool with lovely sun beds to simply lounge and let all those cares slip away. Dining

Malaysia is best known for its dining, and The Amari Johor Bahru makes no exceptions. The Amaya Food Gallery is a market-style restaurant with decor influenced by the surrounding city. The extensive menu features a variety of Peranakan, Chinese, Indian, Malay, Thai and international cuisines made from the freshest imported and local ingredients as well as seasonal produce astounding even the most discerning of gourmets.  Diners include families, friends and business associates catering from the romantic couple to larger size groups.

Lead by the experienced Executive Chef Andy Oh is a team of well trained and extremely friendly kitchen staff including the talented Chefs Gina and Eaky from Bangkok bringing the wonderful flavours of Thailand to Malaysia together with Chef Laloko taking care of the delicious local fare. Signature favourites are the Johor Laksa, Thai Kuakling Gai and Peranakan Tiffins (Stacking Bowls). There is something for everyone irregardless of age, race, gender both locals and tourist alike.

There are also two cafes in the Hotel, the Amaya Café which serves an extremely well priced afternoon tea with a wide selection of sweet and savouries including your choice of TWG tea or coffee and the pool-side Dip Bar that serve a selection of snacks and beverages for that relaxing time by the pool area. The afternoon tea consist of western favourites with Asian influences such as durian puffs, matcha scones among others, a sheer delight.
