The picturesque establishment deliver elegant dining experiences with distinct offerings where gourmands can enjoy sophisticated multi-course menus while taking in special views of the Japanese gardens. This can be tasted in the exquisite dish, Kokkigai. Abounding with fresh flavours that goes well with champagne.

Foie Gras Et Pigeon Ramier is best enjoyed with a side of brioche toast. Layers of pressed marble style terrine is made using goose liver and pigeon encrusted in a delicious puff pastry. The saltiness level from the terrine is just nice and does not overpower the rest of the ingredients like chestnuts and pear. A sophisticated approach to French gastronomy that champions ingredient-driven cuisine and seasonality. Progressively marrying disparate cultures of both countries and Japanese influences in an exuberant expression.

The food menu is ever-changing depending on seasonality of ingredients and showcases the very best of classic dining. Homard Bleu is made using freshly flown blue Brittany lobster medallions with champagne sauce on a soft homard souffle.  The lobster flesh is delightfully tart well accompanied with oven cooked bacon and potatoes. Warmed baguette is also served along the way through the various courses alongside unprecedented hospitality in the most intimate of settings.

Various cooking techniques can be seen in the world famous Caneton, slow roasted duckling from France, smoked in cocotte or also known as Dutch oven with grape vines and stalks. The rich red wine and grape sauce showcase the chef’s skill in sauces like a master saucier. Fresh grapes completes this course that comes with a certificate with the actual duck number indicated, a tradition continued from the original restaurant in Paris. You would have notice that all dishes comes covered and opened table side, the way fine dining should be.

As one of Asia’s most exciting places to dine Tour d’Argent Tokyo ends every meal on a high, Chocolat Alpaco is a dessert served with salted caramel ice cream, chocolate ganache of Alpaco 66% from Equador, hazelnuts, grapefruit and lemon jelly. The wine menu features many labels that pay homage to some greats as well as boutique independent winemakers. A favourite choice of Savour BlackBookAsia magazine from this extensive list is the vintage 2015 Domaine Thierry Mortet from the region Gevrey-Chambertin, Cote de Nuits in France. Made with Pinot Noir grapes, full bodied and intense with a wonderful long finish. Beautiful on the nose packed with tannins. So good that you should forget the glass and purchase a bottle to go with your dégustation.
