Curry 36 – Berlin Street Food

Highly-suggested entrée would be Frankfurter Grune Sobe, smoked eel mousse covered with thinly sliced smoked fresh water eel imported from Germany alongside a potato salad placed under a deliciously thick mousse made from seasonal herbs and finish with edible flowers. A well plated course oozing X factor for sure.

The most outstanding dish from the entire menu has got to be the handmade German-style “Spatzle” egg noodle cooked with mountain cheese and anis mushroom, drizzled over with spring onion oil and topped with generous amount of freshly shaven French autumn truffle. Best eaten with the crispy fried onion provided for that mix of aromatic textures.

Another incredible creation would be the Sauerbraten, a sour-roasted tender wagyu beef dipped in aromatic beef jus, served with carrots, grilled leek and bread dumplings. The beef is well marinated in red wine and red wine vinegar before being slow-cooked for 12 hours to bring out bold flavours which goes nicely with the side of sour cream and red wine vinegar sauce.

Red Claw Crayfish from the ‘Royal Project’

An adventurous dessert but absolutely worth a try is the Buttermilk Gin and Tonic, buttermilk base with gin marinated cucumber and dollop of tonic sorbet.
