For an informal and fascinating gastronomic journey, look no further than the aptly named, Morsels, offering little bites that will leave you wanting more. Upon stepping into beautifully crafted space, you will feel a sense of homeliness in their new premise located at the very heart of Dempsey.  Inspired by Japanese, American and local flavours, chef and owner Petrina Loh’s dishes offer a diverse range of fusion fare. Light, airy, rustic, cosy and surrounded by chill-out acoustic music, you are ensured a good time awaits every meal.

The menu offers a myriad of flavours, ingredients, and techniques. For the adventurous sort, the Omakase menu is a great option where the kitchen will prepare a special selection- very much like opening a mystery box. Do note that they have an early bird express for the Omakase Menu, where it is as much value for money one gets for the food and experience offered.

Indulge your taste buds with excellent dishes like Kasu-Cured Hiramasa Kingfish, a delectable fusion of Japanese and Italian. The kingfish is extremely fresh and melts in your mouth instantly, it is topped with ikura, drizzled with rhubarb aioli and salted pistachio praline.

Snake River Farms America Wagyu Flat Iron Steak

A highly recommended main is the Snake River Farms America Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. The steak, thinly sliced with precision, is succulent and moist. It is accompanied with fermented garlic mash, coffee sauce, pickled relish and fried capers. It provides a good balance of sweetness and acidity, an orchestra of senses with every mouthful and paired to perfection with Black Stone’s Merlot.

For the ideal sweet ending, signature desserts such as the Milo “Tiramiso” which comes delightfully presented in a jar as well as the sinfully good Jackfruit 3 ways with Gula Melaka are perfect ways to end the meal.

Other must-tries include the Oyster On Half, Grilled Wild Sri-Lankan Tiger Prawns, Snake River Farms Kurobuta Char Siu, Steamed Venus Clams and Charred House-Poached Octopus.

Throughout the meal, impeccable service is rendered from well-trained and friendly staff. It is commendable that Morsels share the ethos of making everything from scratch. The restaurant is an ideal location for dates, gin lovers and those looking to have a relaxing time with friends and family.
