Sumiya

Stepping into Sumiya, you will be amazed by their special sake dispenser that also acts as a cellar serving a range of sakes from sweet to dry at different proportions as decided by diners.

With an additional selection of choice sakes by the bottle on the menu one can even come up with his or hers own sake paring meal.

Designed in a casual and chic style, featuring an open concept kitchen and a fresh food showcase with produce flown in from Japan on a regular basis (Three shipments of fresh Japanese produce per week to be exact, is testament of how serious this Japanese diner in bringing the best from the Land of the rising sun to Singapore).

Start with the ever popular Tuna Mixed Cube Sashimi, a delightful mix of Bluefin tuna cuts such as fatty tuna belly (otoro), middle fat (chutoro) and lean cuts or Homemade Dried Fish, choice of fish changes daily and is dried in a special machine using heat similar to natural sun light without losing its flavours but rather intensifying them.

For seconds order the Can Can Mushi (Fishermen mix seasonal seafood such as oysters, prawns, scallops in a rich broth) with a choice of original clear broth, tom yum soup or the crowd favourite soy sauce, miso base soup with garlic and chilli and Irori Genshiyaki (Ancient Japanese grill style over a charcoal bed with salt), pick your choice of food and it will be perfectly grilled crispy on the surface and juicy on the inside with aromatic smoky notes due to the charcoal.
Drink: Wide range of sakes by the glass and bottle.
