Sawah Terrace

Overlooking the scenic Ayung River and Mandapa rice terraces, is Sawah Terrace, the all-day dining restaurant provides a truly tranquil experience for diners to enjoy their meals no matter the time of day. The cuisine highlights Balinese, Asian and healthy cuisine with many of the ingredients coming from the chef’s organic in-resort garden, dishes are prepared with a farm-to-table concept ensuring freshness at every bite.

Foie Gras Cocotte with slow cooked egg

The options of various menus are provided over the course of the day, from breakfast to dinner and even a wellness menu for health conscious diners. The breakfast favourites are definitely the signature chef’s creations, the Foie Gras Cocotte with slow cooked egg, onion marmalade and brioche bread and the Mandapa Egg Benedict with spinach, smoked ham and hollandaise sauce. Dishes that ensure a great hearty meal to start the day.

For lunch, diners have a large selection of appetizers, sandwiches and mains to choose from such as the Mandapa sandwich consisting of toasted whole wheat bread, grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, fried egg and sprout to the delectable Wagyu Burger with tomato, rocket, onion confit, bacon and smoked Caciotta.

At dinner, a great way to start the meal is with the Signature ‘Sawah’ Rujuk Udung served with wholesomely grilled tiger prawns, green mango, young papaya, sesame and tamarind dressing. For the mains, must-haves are the Suckling Pig with red rice and cassava, the pork belly, cheek and shoulder are slow cooked for 36 hours and then fried, ensuring crispiness on the outside but soft and delicate on the inside. The Sate Campur, is another, served with three different types of meat, beef, chicken and pork. The meat is tender and goes exceptionally well with the peanut sauce and chili sambal. To end of the meal, unique creations such as the Colenak, “Deep fried fermented cassava” vanilla ice in exotic soup and Mango Dragon Ball with “Sushi style” Jackfruit and palm sugar sauce are great to end the amazing meal experience atop the terrace.
