An Exclusive Establishment, A Remarkable Hotel
Conceived at the behest of King Louis XIV, Versailles has become an international showcase of French savoir-faire and excellence that has flourished over the centuries.
On the site of the former equestrian arena built by the War Ministry of Louis-Napoléon III for the Artillery, Hotel Le Louis Versailles Château is situated in an historic corner building spanning 4 floors of classical architecture, just 200 meters from the Palace of Versailles and its famed gardens; Its impressive gateway, unchanged from that period and designated as an historic monument, is today the entrance to this setting, which reveals itself through a magnificent courtyard.
Set at the very top of the Avenue de Paris, the hotel enjoys a prime location on the widest avenue in France, providing the ideal starting point from which to explore the most beautiful cultural and historic sites of The Royal City. It’s proximity to Versailles two main railway stations also makes it very easy to visit the capital’s must-see attractions.
Completely renovated in 2017, Hotel Le Louis Versailles Château, MGallery is now a 4-star hotel inviting travelers to immerse themselves in the splendor of the Court of Versailles. The hotel’s design is a subtle blend of past and present, directly inspired by the Palace of Versailles.
THE LOBBY, EPITOMIZING THE ART OF HOSPITALITY, FRENCH STYLE
Throughout your stay, the art of hospitality – French style – combines a tailored service with the discovery of the surrounding area. Hotel staff ensure guests enjoy privacy, peace and serenity.
In terms of design, the renovation has put elegance and attention to detail at the fore, with an exquisite combination of classic colors and choice of contemporary materials.
EXPLORE THE ROOMS
From a cosy room to a signature suite, the past is united with the present. Aged mirrors and conical lamps sit side by side underneath a classical chandelier, a centerpiece that combines antique design with LED lights reminiscent of candles, with flames reaching upwards.
All rooms feature elegant bathrooms: white marble with hints of pale pink on the central wall and the sides of the bathtub, and shower walls inspired by the decor of the Palace gates.
The layout enhances the work space in the room: all functional requirements are given priority and the esthetic is entirely dedicated to them. A large and ergonomic table, a modern easy chair and a chaise longue create a boudoir ambience, in a nod to the private apartment of Marie-Antoinette.
BEHIND THE SCENES AT L’Alcôve
L’Alcôve restaurant and bar immerses guests in the pure essence of Versailles through numerous references to the history of the city and its Palace such as shades of dark green evoking the Gardens of Versailles, the stylized wallpaper reminiscent of the nearby gardens’ orangerie, and the statue of the Lion, the emblem of royal power. The interplay between the lighting and materials give the restaurant a rich and warm atmosphere. Generously-proportioned booths provide the ideal setting for intimate conversations.
