Located in the iconic California Tower along D’Aguilar Street, the beautiful and intricately designed Jinjuu offers a truly unique Korean dining experience, skillfully merging traditional and contemporary style of cuisine and serving it on a plate. With celebrity Iron Chef, Judy Joo at the helm, diners are certainly in for a treat as she brings her Korean heritage coupled with an innovative and modern twist to her dishes.
The award-winning interiors at Jinjuu is indeed a sight to behold, with colourful norigai tassels hanging from the ceiling, a modern bar and an extravagantly hand-painted mural of a dragon creating a simply unique and vibrant atmosphere at the restaurant.
The menu at Jinjuu consists of an Anju selection, which is Korean tapas and large plates perfect for sharing. Even a tasting menu is on offer for those who cannot decide on what to order. For starters, a refreshing option to indulge in is the Cho Gye Tang Salad, a mixture of slow cooked Australian free-range chicken breast marinated in soy and served with cabbage, daikon kimchi and mustard vinaigrette. A definite must-have is the Jinjuu Signature Korean Fried Chicken, juicy Australian free-range chicken is used and seasoned to perfection with an amazing crunch on the outside. Served with pickled radish and paired with either the spicy Gochujang Red or Jinjuu Black Soy sauce, a dish worth salivating over.
For larger groups, the Bulgogi Marinated Beef Fillet Steak is ideal, the Australian fillet steak is well-portioned, tender and melts in your mouth with every bite, cooked to a perfect medium rare. It is served with gratin potatoes filled with short rib, chargrilled broccoli and soy glaze. For a lighter option, diner can go with the baked Kimchi and Herb Crusted Halibut, the flaky fish is served with doenjang potato pancake, sesame seasoned spinach and gochujang sauce for an authentic Korean taste.
For dessert, the delectable Green Tea Tiramisu filled with yuja jam, coffee cream, green tea mascarpone and yuja parfait is the perfect way to end the meal.
