With an emphasis placed on the freshest of seafood, the decadent oyster bar takes center stage, located right at the entrance of the restaurant, diners can admire the collection of the freshest catches from the ocean even before they step in. An absolute mouthwatering sight indeed! With a host of other offerings on the menu ranging from steamed Boston Lobster to the signature Octopus “A la Plancha”, diners are certainly in for a treat at the incredible repertoire of delectable dishes available.
For starters, the Caviar “Sandwich” is an absolute beauty, caviar is topped on a toasted brioche bun with red onion crème fraiche and boiled farm eggs. It is their very own rendition of an egg mayo sandwich, taking a simple dish and elevating it to another level with creativity and use of only the freshest ingredients. The signature Seafood Platter is another which is a must-have, with a selection of the freshest available French and American Oysters, Maine lobster, Jumbo prawns, mussels, fresh clams, ceviche and tartars. It is a platter fit for royalty and one that will make seafood lovers weak in the knees.
Moving on to the mains, the Filet of Dover Sole with glazed spring vegetables, grilled lemon and pea tendrils is a light yet delicious dish, the flatfish is expertly deboned and prepared table-side ensuring that guests are entertained during their dining experience. Meat lovers fret not, another signature of the restaurant is the ever-popular DB Burger, a juicy and tender thick beef burger with seared foie gras stuffed in the middle of the patty, it simply does not get any better than that, indeed heaven on a plate.
For desserts, the Baked Alaska is simply delectable, filled with pandan genoise, coconut, pineapple sorbet and rum flambé. A twist on the traditional Baked Alaska with a touch of Asian influence from executive pastry chef, Mandy Pan who hails from Malaysia, with the use of pandan and coconut in her creation, a combination that works wonders on your palate. If you would like something lighter for dessert, there is the Madeleines which are fluffy, scrumptious and ideal for sharing, a perfect way to end the meal.
