AMKC Atelier is helmed by one of Jakarta’s top up and coming chefs Andhika Maxi and his wife, pastry chef Karen Carlotta. The quaint eatery showcases their immaculate creativity; with the menu fusing French inspired dishes mixed with the flare of Indonesian cuisine.

Black Truffle Choux

A dish resembling eggs in a nest, the Black Truffle Choux is a great way to kick off your meal, its savoury mushroom filling and buttery choux with a subtle hint of truffle aroma; The Basil Bread with homemade butter is another must-have, the bread is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and goes very well with the saltiness of the butter; Kale Salad with Fire Roasted Pepper and Parmigiano Reggiano is another of chef Andhika’s indigenous creations, simple yet full of flavour, the mountain of Kale with Peppers and Parmigiano cheese does wonders to the palate with just one mouthful.

Sea urchin pork crackling angel hair pasta

One of the favourites of AMKC Atelier patrons is the Sea Urchin Pork Crackling Angel Hair Pasta, a dish that looks relatively simple but the combination of flavors and textures on the first mouthful is simply exquisite. The silkiness of the Sea Urchin paired with the crispiness of the Pork Crackling and topped off with pasta works wonderfully together. For a more local Indonesian touch, Soto Mie Risol with tender beef cuts, vegetable spring rolls and noodles provides just that, the broth is the true star with great consistency and taste, complementing the other ingredients in the dish perfectly.

A great selection of cakes, from Teh Botol Cake to Pavlova with Fresh Berries and Passion Fruit. All the cakes on display are highly recommended; the Black Forest Cake with its amazing consistency and fluffiness is a splendid way to end your gastronomic adventure.
